In the play "Romeo & Juliet", by Wiliam Shakespeare the author shows many different views on marriage.Mercutio is having truble in finding true love or first sight love so he  is being rough with love."If love be rough with you, be rough with love, prick love for priking you and beat it down". This quote shows that if you have trouble finding true love the only chance you might find it is to be rough with love, to fight for that special someone who you decide to spend some time with.Mercutio's view on marriage is that if you can't find love you should fight it and play rough to get it.
